The website, created as a side project by the Alloush brothers, is dedicated to making the visualization of various Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) chemicals easier and more intuitive. Traditional published MOF sieve files are often complex and difficult to explore, which can hinder research and understanding. To address this, the Alloush brothers have developed this project to offer simplified and cleaned-up versions of these files.
By presenting the MOF data in a more accessible format, users can clearly see the large units and main pores or clusters of different MOFs, which are crucial for understanding their properties and potential applications. This enhanced visualization not only aids in research but also in educational purposes, making it easier for students and professionals alike to grasp the structure and functionality of MOFs.
The library of MOF visualizations provided by the website is continually growing, with new entries being added regularly. This ensures that the resource remains up-to-date with the latest developments in MOF research, offering an ever-expanding repository of information for the scientific community. The Alloush brothers are committed to improving this tool and welcome feedback from users to further refine and expand the capabilities of the website.
Dr. Ahmed Alloush

Dr. Ahmed Alloush is specialized in the materials design and synthesis and is currently a Postdoctoral fellow in the Functional Biomaterials Group at Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates.
In 2022, he earned his Ph.D. in Reticular Chemistry from the chemistry department at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia. His research work focuses on designing and investigating novel porous materials for energy related applications such as Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS), and Hydrogen Storage using various families of porous solids.
Parallel to his scientific work, he managed to combine his experience in graphic design and scientific research to become a Scientific Illustrator aiming to add an artistic representation to research work that helps for a better understanding and wider exposure.
